How much does it cost to run my Australian event?

O-tix charges $1AUD per ticket sold, plus 2.4% transaction fees to cover payment processing fees.

O-tix gives organisers total control over the way they handle fees. Organisers can pass on all fees to the customer, pass on a portion of fees to the customer, or absorb all fees in their prices. If you’re running an event that doesn’t charge for tickets, you can access the complete O-tix platform for just $195 per event.

Special pricing available to Not For Profit, Religious and Education based events

We are pleased to announce that events run by Not For Profits, Educational Institutions and Religious bodies are eligible for a 20% discount on our provider fee. This brings the total O-tix fees down to 80c per ticket + 2.4% of the transaction value. This offer is applicable for new events created after Friday 29 September 2016.

How much does it cost to run my international (non AUD) event?

For events with a base currency other than AUD, O-tix charges a 4.5% transaction fee + $1AUD per ticket sold. However this allows you the flexibility to choose from EUR, GBP, HKD, NZD, SGD and USD as the base currency. If you can align the base currency with the country that your event is located in, it will provide your customers with more confidence when making their purchase (and help you generate sales).

 

For international events where the base currency is still set in AUD, then the fees you will occur are the same as for a domestic (AUD) event, and your customers will be charged a conversion fee by their institution (i.e. PayPal or their Credit Card provider) when they pay for their tickets. Prices are accurate as of 31/8/16.

How much does it cost to run my event in Chinese Yuan (CNY)?

O-tix charges $5 RMB per ticket sold, plus 2.4% transaction fees to cover payment processing fees incurred by our payment gateways.

Overseas Transfer fee for Australian remittances = $30 AUD per transfer

How do I collect my sales revenue?

Your earnings will be transferred to your nominated bank account via EFT within 7 days of the end of your event (however this typically occurs within 3 to 4 business days).

Can I access my sales revenue pre-event?

Yes, in most cases we allow reputable organisers who have a track record with events on O-tix to access sales revenue from their event, before the event has finished. If you qualify for pre-event remittance, you are permitted to withdraw up to 70% of your earnings, a maximum of three times pre-event, and a maximum of once per month (with the full balance payable after the event finishes). Please note that a minimum of $500 in earnings is required to enable pre-event remittance. If you are interested in finding out if your event is eligible for pre-event remittance, please email us at support@o-tix.com, and outline the organising entity’s ABN and website.

How are refunds handled?

Responsibility for refunds lie with the event organiser. Only they can issue refunds based on their event terms and conditions. When a refund request is made, it must be made to the organiser of the event. Any refund requests brought to O-tix will be forwarded to the event organiser for actioning. All refunds made through the O-tix platform will exclude transaction fees paid on the original transaction.
